82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller On Ubuntu 9.04
If your PC has a 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller and with Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackelope you are experiencing problems you can try the following steps:
# sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
At the end of the file add the following line:
options snd-hda-intel model=laptop
Save the file then log out from the graphical interface. Next time you login the audio board should work properly.
