Normally, router's settings are password protected to avoid undesired changes.
Usually the manufacturer provides routers with their own factory settings.
The default login information for Belkin routers depends on the model as shown below.
Default user names: admin, or none
Default passwords: none – Belkin ships its routers with no administrator password set.
To change the default settings you must log in into the router.
The default IP Address to connect to, for belkin, is 192.168.2.1 with the netmask set to 255.255.255.0.
So to connect to the router you have to configure you NIC IP Address as follows: the IP address must be in [192.168.2.2, 192.168.2.253] and the netmask must be 255.255.255.0
Then you can point your browser to "192.168.2.1"
